What data are monitored?
K-Fans monitors 14 parameters divided into:
Volume Parameters
Volume data are cumulative metrics that indicate the total load generated, so they depend on the duration of the session.
1. TOTAL DISTANCE: Total distance traveled, in metres
2. HIGH SPEED: Distance covered at speeds above 15 km/h, in km
3. SPRINT: Number of sprints performed (Sprint = running for at least 1 second at over 25 km/h)
4. ACCELERATION: Distance covered during acceleration phase (above 2 m/s²)
5. DECELERATION: Distance covered during deceleration phase (below -2 m/s²)
Intensity Parameters
They are data per minute or as a percentage of the total volume, indicating how intense the session was, and they do not depend on the duration of the session itself.
6. HIGH SPEED: Distance covered at high speed (above 15 km/h) relative to the total distance, in %
7. ACCELERATION: Distance covered during the acceleration phase (above 2 m/s²) relative to the total distance, in %
8. DECELERATION: Distance covered during the deceleration phase (below -2 m/s²) relative to the total distance, in %
Intensity Peaks
They are data per minute or as a percentage of the total volume, indicating how intense the session was, regardless of its duration. They’re calculated based on the best session’s minute.
9. TOTAL DISTANCE: Maximum distance covered in one minute, in meters
10. PEAK SPEED: Maximum speed reached, in km/h
Energy Metrics
These data are only available for Premium Users; they indicate the physical energy expenditure of the athlete in relation to the results achieved in other metrics:
11. AVERAGE METABOLIC POWER: Estimates the amount of energy used by our body during an activity compared to when we are at rest.
12. ANAEROBIC INDEX: Estimates the amount of energy used by our body during an activity compared to when we are at rest.
13. MUSCLE STRESS: Ratio between equivalent distance (distance you would have traveled consuming the same energy but at a constant speed) and total distance
14. ENERGY CONSUMED: Metabolic power (W/Kg) multiplied by time.
OTHER DATA
K-Fans collects for you other data, which don’t depend on your physical and athletic performance, but rather on how you execute the training.
15. IMBALANCE: Indicator that uses sensor fusion to accurately detect and measure asymmetric movements during high-intensity physical activities
16. HEATMAP: Graphic representation that highlights in red the areas of the pitch where you spent the most time and ran the most during training or the match
What are the rankings, and how do they work? What’s the difference between class and category?
Training with K-Fans allows you to participate in ranked challenges and to earn points based on your results. Rankings sort users by their overall performance metrics. Higher parameter scores mean a better position in the rankings.
Rankings are updated regularly to reflect each player’s improvements. Users are divided by class (based on demographic criteria such as age and gender) and category (based on in-app performance level)
Classes are divided as follows:
– Unisex 0-12 years;
– Unisex 13-15 years;
– Unisex 16-18 years;
– Male 19-30 years
– Male Over 30;
– Female 19-30;
– Female Over 30.
Categories align with professional football levels, such as:
– Amateur;
– Third Category;
– Second Category;
– First Category;
– Promotion;
– Excellence;
– Serie D;
– Serie C;
– Serie B;
– Serie A;
– Champions League;
– Intercontinental Cup.
All new users start in the Amateur category. For example, a 17-year-old male user will be placed in the “Amateur” category of the “Unisex 16-18 years” class upon registration
Can I view my past performances?
Yes, the app stores all your downloaded training sessions, allowing you to review your progress and compare results. Standard plan users can view their last 4 weeks of training history.
Plus and Premium plan users have unlimited access to their training history, enabling them to better track progress over time.
